Summary

The biennial state budget included a provision, Research Incentive Third Frontier, allocating funding to the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to be used by the Chancellor to advance collaborative research at institutions of higher education. This funding opportunity is intended to further Ohio’s support of innovation at its institutions of higher education by offering direct financial support to promote research intended to be commercialized.

The institutions chosen to conduct this research are selected through a competitive process.
